Who May Enrol?
Participants in Continuing Education credit or credit-related courses must hold at least an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or the equivalent, or be a mature student (at least 19 years of age on or before the date of enrolment).
Wait Lists
Students wishing to register for courses that are full will be placed on a wait list. The College will let students know if any vacancies occur in their courses or if the demand warrants an additional course offering.
Course Refunds, Withdrawals and Transfers
To withdraw from a course, you must let the Registrar’s Office know before the second scheduled class. A refund (less a $15 Administration Fee) will ONLY be issued for a withdrawal request made BEFORE THE SECOND SCHEDULED CLASS. If the course has only one class, the withdrawal request must be made prior to the beginning of that scheduled class to be eligible for a refund. Refunds will be issued in the form of a cheque from the Accounting Office regardless of method of payment. You may transfer to another class if space is available, before the second scheduled class is held in both the course you are transferring out of and the one you are being transferred into.
Course Cancellations
The College reserves the right to cancel, combine, or postpone classes and to limit registration or change instructors. Should your course be cancelled, you may transfer to another course or you will automatically receive a full refund in the mail from the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Accounting Office. Course cancellations are determined one week prior to the first day of class. Every attempt will be made to notify you if your class is cancelled or changed. Remember that early registration helps to ensure that classes will not be cancelled.
Need a Part-time Certificate/Transfer Credit Evaluation?
If you wish to apply for a certificate upon completion of your part-time studies, you must submit a completed application form to the Registrar’s Office and pay a $34 certificate-processing fee. If you would like courses from another institution assessed, a $50 fee may be applicable per assessment.

Textbooks and Supplies
Some courses offered this term include the textbook and/or manual in the course fee. This will be clearly noted with the course information in this catalogue. All other textbooks, manuals and supplies the Campus Shop by calling, 705-759-2554, Ext. 2596 or 2595 or by fax at 705-256-2523. Please have your credit card information ready when placing your order.

NOTE: The Campus Shop does not take personal cheques. Payment may be made by Visa, MasterCard, money orders, and debit card. Letters from sponsoring agencies declaring their intent to pay for materials on behalf of the student are also accepted.
Requests for refunds for textbooks will be accepted up until seven days from the receipt date of the books. No refunds will be given for books and supplies that are opened or written in.
To receive a refund for a Distance Education manual/textbook, materials must be unopened, unmarked and returned on or before the third scheduled class. Refunds will not be processed without the packing slip or receipt. Return materials directly to the Campus Shop, ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, 443 Northern Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6B 4J3.
Food Services
²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù has Chartwell’s Cafeteria which is located in B wing. Vending machines are also available throughout the College.
Library Services
Persons enrolled in Continuing Education courses, after receiving a student card, have full library privileges at ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù during the day as well as in the evening until their course is finished. To learn about remote access to the Library, please visit www.saultcollege.ca.
Parking
Parking on campus is free after 5 pm from Monday to Friday and throughout the weekend. Please use on-campus parking facilities anywhere on the property. The parking gates are raised for evening and weekend classes. In the interest of our neighbours’ safety and convenience, we request that you not park on nearby streets. Students attending daytime workshops are required to park in our J WING Student Lot, off Northern Avenue. A $5.00 parking fee will apply upon entrance.
In the event of accident or injury
²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù will not be responsible for any claims of damage arising from any accident or injury that is caused by or arises from your participation during any course or in any facility or at any location where a course is held.
